It's been a while since I last wrote, and so much has happened. Mom's been out visiting with Andy and Snow and Garith who calls her Mimi. I think that is so sweet! Wyatt calls her grammie and most likely always will. Wyatt has gone to the neighbors for the night to sleep out in the camper with Aaron. I wonder how cold it will get out there he says that there's plenty of blankets and he took his sleeping bag. Grampa Ron bought him a new bike it's the Tony Hawk bike and he loves it! He says riding his other one that 2 days ago worked fine just doesn't feel right anymore. How many bikes does one kid need? Ha ha!
Stephens brothers and their wives were over for a cook out this past Saturday and we had a great time. Wyatt was having so much fun showing them how he rides his 4 wheeler. Sunday Wyatt asked if he could ride his wheeler and after a few jumps his battery came off and Stephen and Wyatt worked on it all morning till a thunder storm rolled in. We thought that would be the perfect time to go grocery shopping little did we know what the rest of the day would hold for us! We loaded the groceries into the car right in the middle of one hell of a thunder and lightning storm. Then while cleaning the ice out of the freezer on our frig a freon line was hit and now I have a bigger better frig! That is all behind us now! Matilda is now twice the size that she was when we brought her home. On the 4th of July she will be 3 months old. She and Birdie are great together they play and wrestle constantly.
Wyatt will be heading north for the weekend with Grammie and Grampa and then to his dads. He has missed them all very much.

Working for the weekend!

It's only Tuesday! Ughhhh! We took Wyatt to the skate park tonight, but it started to thunder and then it rained. Told him we'd try again on Thursday since tomorrow night is his graduation ceremony moving up from the elementary to middle school. There is an ice cream social after. Wyatt is all excited because tomorrow is field day at school and he wants to do the tug of war.
Today was mom's last day of school she is flying out to Andy and Snow's home in Ohio on Thursday. I am very jealous she is going to have a great time. Andrew graduates from Paramedic school Saturday. I am so proud of you Andrew!! Mom is going to visit with them for a week in their new home and get some special time with Garith.

Chores are done

The weather was great today and perfect for getting all our outside chores done. Wyatt and I went to Walmart and Market Basket getting all our groceries and other needed things. When we got home we took Stephen out to a nice lunch at the Red Apple. Tomorrow is the start to Laconia Bike Week and there were loads of motorcycles out.
I finally weeded my garden it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it might be. I have radishes growing and carrots. My green beans are going to come in well. I have a feeling my tomato's are a bust, but that's ok I am learning. While I was busy in the garden the guys were busy in the yard weed wacking and mowing. It is all done and it looks wonderful.
Wyatt finally took me for a ride on the 4 wheeler down and up the driveway. It was fun and he was in his glory giving his mom a ride. He worked very hard today helping us with chores. If it doesn't rain all day tomorrow I am going to take him to the skate park for an hour or so. He is also going to the range with Stephen to do some shooting. He loves the idea of that.
Tomorrow is also Fathers day! Again Happy Fathers Day to all the important men out there!

TGIF

Need I say more??? Tomorrow is Friday and this has been one long week. It started out so hot and now it's wonderfully cool and I love it! We have been sitting outside with the dogs in the evening enjoying the solar lights. Our neighbors have gone camping for Fathers Day weekend with the pop-up camper they bought from us. We are taking care of their animals for the weekend. A rooster named Elvis and two hens, and little bunny rabbit and watering their garden. Wyatt is happy to help with the feeding since he helps do it during the week for Becky. I am going to help with the cleaning of the pool filter and if it warms up this weekend I just might take a dip.
I would like to say Happy Fathers Day to all the important men in my life.
*Dad for always being the best dad, I am such a lucky person to have a dad who loves me unconditionally. I love you Dad!
*Andrew for growing up to become the best dad to my beautiful nephew. Garith is one lucky little boy to have such an incredible father. I love you Andrew!
*Stephen for being a dad to Wyatt. For always being there to take him to the dentist or the doctors, for bandaging up a scraped knee or just giving him a hug when he needs one. I love you Stephen!
*Grampa Ron for being a wonderful Grandfather and step dad! For watching out for Wyatt and I when we needed it the most. There will never be enough ways to say thank you for everything you have done for us! The only way to describe Ronnie is "One in a million!" I love you Ronnie/Grampa!!
*Matt for being Wyatts dad! We have a son who is growing up fast into a young man. I am so proud of Wyatt and I know Matt is too! Thank you for being Wyatts father and the other reason Wyatt is here on earth.
Have a great weekend everyone in case I don't have time to post a blog. I will be back on Monday!

Cooler days are upon us

It was still very warm when we went to bed and the wonderful thunder and lightening storm in the middle of the night cool every thing down! I woke and almost felt a little chilly when I stepped outside..Yay! Wyatt dressed for hot weather and said he was a little cold this morning, I told him to suck it up because it would warm up through out the day and it did. Wyatt has only 6 1/2 more days of school left now. He and I have decided to go miniture golfing in the afternoon on the last day of school. It should be fun and Wyatt is excited about it.
Tonight Wyatt and I were sitting out in the backyard with Lady Bird and I was trying to teach him to whistle with a blade of grass pinched between his thumbs. He was able to do it a couple of times, but he gets frustrated to easy and gave up fast. I on the other hand have years of practice and was making loud whistles getting the birds in the neighborhood chirping! Wyatt has headed down to the neighbors to hop in the pool for an evening dip. I don't think its hot enough to do that, but kids can't resist a pool. He has been out riding his bike so he has worked up a sweat.
Looking forward to this weekend the temps sound delightful. I need to weed my garden the grass is taking over. Almost ready to pick my radishes!

Hot spring days!

Ok I know I have missed some days, but the weather has so hot that doing anything that requires you to move is almost impossible! We survived the 90 degree heat over the weekend barely. We built new steps out to our backyard and added some solar lights out there as well. We did an interior floor repair as well. Home Depot is the place to be on the weekends. Wyatt spent the weekend at his Dads and had a great time. He got to spend a little time with his grammie Donna on the car rides to and from Moultonboro. He is so glad school is almost over for the summer. Today they got to have popcicles at school today and he came home and announced that he has no homework and there won't be anymore homework for the rest of the school year. For Wyatt thats a dream come true.
Last evening Wyatt and I attended the student/parent orientation at the Middle school he will be attending in the Fall. He wasn't to interested in listening to the teachers talk, but loved the tour we went on of the school after. It was hot in there I couldn't wait to get out. Should be interesting to see how Wyatt likes the school come the start 5th grade.
Wyatt has been coming right home from school and jumping in the neighbors pool thankfully they have one. It cools the kids off and keeps them busy on these hot afternoons when riding bikes is not a good idea. He plays hard, but falls asleep fast at night!
Matilda is growing bigger every day and really giving Birdie a run for her money. We have established a great routine with her and everyone is sleeping better. She is having less and less accidents in her kennel and in the house and loves to dig holes in the backyard. The balance in the house is coming back to normal.
Work is going well changes are getting easier to deal with. Hope I feel this optimistic come July when the Fall product starts to arrive by the truck loads. Well I will try to keep blogging daily I can't promise I won't miss any days but will do my best!

my evening with the kids

Ok I missed 2 days, but tomorrow is Friday the weekend is upon us and I can't be happier! Wyatt has been playing hard after school every day riding bikes and hanging out with Aaron. He helps with Matilda "Tillie" (yes the puppy has a nickname..we all new it was bound to happen!!) as much as he can. Playing keeps him pretty busy. Matilda is biting and chewing on everything. She has toys scattered every where through out the house but she'd rather chew on the pillow on the couch or the throw rug in the living room. It really is like having a toddler who has just learned to walk running around to bad she doesn't wear a diaper. Wyatt will be heading up north tomorrow to spend the weekend with his dad and he is really looking forward to that. He packed for the weekend and was sure to remember his skateboard. Wish our driveway was paved so he could skate in our yard it's hard to get him to the skate park here often. Wyatt is a very good skate boarder and he tried his skill out on the snowboard this winter and did fantastic! He doesn't play organized sports so he makes up for that with the things he can take from here to his dads and to Grammie and Grampa's house as well. He gets better every time he practices.
The kids are down for the night so I am going to check my email and enjoy the quiet.

Busy Tuesday

Sitting here relaxing on the couch with Lady Bird. Matilda was biting Stephen so she is being punished in her kennel. Wyatt just went to bed he was out riding his bike all afternoon. His interest in the puppy has faded a little he is a kid and would rather being playing with his buddy Aaron than with a puppy. Time to go and get "Tillie" out of her kennel I think she might have learned her lesson-Not! Besides I am missing her I think she is fast becoming my spoiled little pup! Now I have two girls!!

Manic Mondays

5am and I was up and out in the back yard with Matilda and Birdie. By the time I got to work I had a headache and was ready for a nap! Did I get one, well we all know the answer to that..NO! So I took a couple of advil and got through the day. I was so anxious all day to get home and get Matilda out of the kennel. I figured I would have a lot of work cleaning the kennel, but Matilda got through her first day in the kennel with no accidents! She is fitting in so well and besides the getting up early with her she is doing great. She is still chewing anything she can get in her mouth, but we are watching her so closely we'll break her of that eventually. Wyatt has only 14 1/2 days of school left. I have taken half a day for the last day of school so I can be home when he gets home. And I am officially taking a weeks paid vacation this year the 2nd to last week of August to spend sometime with Wyatt who will start school the following week. Amazing how short the school vacations are now. The mosquitoes are terrible now when the sun goes down. So we make our trips with the dogs out back quick at night.
My garden is really starting to grow. The radishes will be ready with in the next couple of weeks. It's my first garden and though I haven't tended to it much yet it's doing great. It will be nice to save on vegies and what vegies are at the grocery store look pretty small and not worth the cost. I just might have a green thumb yet!

Sunday with the family

Well we have gotten through day 3 with Matilda! Let's hope night number 3 goes as well. Wyatt and Stephen did a lot of 4 wheeling today and I hung out with the girls (Birdie and Matilda). Trying to keep her awake and not napping was a challenge. Wyatt would lay in the grass with her and she would jump all over him attacking him! It was a great day over all. Wyatt is in bed for the night and now it's time to get things ready for another work week..yuck!
