Wyatt needed a pumpkin to take to school to do pumpkin carving so it was up to me to get the perfect carving pumpkin. He told me about this last week and do you think I took him to get one over the weekend? Nope! I put it off till the last minute something I am good at~sad but true~so yesterday I had no choice but to find a pumpkin or well I couldn't come home after work. I had a few items to get at Shaws so I thought for sure I would find a pumpkin there. Shaws had pumpkins but they were garbage! The stems were gone and well they were garbage like I said! So I got my few items and back on the road to search out a farm stand. Well here in Belmont we do have a farm stand it's actually a farm right on the side of the road I mean step out your front door on the road! I pulled in parked my car and hopped out with my $20.00 bill in hand nothing else~keys, cell phone, pocket book all left in my unlocked windows done car~and lets not forget right on the side of the road! Now you ask where is she going with this pumpkin story?? Well I am getting to it and I feel the details leading up to the actual story help give life to the story I am about to tell!
Now this is what happened~I couldn't have made this one up if I'd wanted to~I walked around looking at all the pumpkins that were placed around the building where they do all their farm stand business. Some were damaged or rotting when I entered the building I saw a sign that said big pumpkins $5.00 and got excited for one this wasn't going to cost me my whole twenty and secondly there were some pretty big pumpkins that looked great for carving. Now I had to take into consideration that Wyatt had to carry this pumpkin to school on the bus and then up the flight of stairs he has to climb just to get into the school so I had to get one that wasn't to big but not to small either. I found one that I thought was perfect and started for the front door of the house attached to the barn/farm stand to pay now I was carrying the pumpkin I had picked out and I rang the door bell~NOTHING! No one answered I went as far as to open the door and call out "Hello! I would like to buy a pumpkin!"~NOTHING. Now I am thinking I have found the perfect pumpkin and there's no one here to sell it to me~DAMN! I walk back to the farm stand and contemplate my situation. I could leave without the pumpkin and come back later or if I had a $5.00 bill I could leave a note saying I had come to buy a pumpkin and here's the money for the one I picked out, but nope I decided there was nooooooo way I was leaving without my pumpkin and since all I had was a twenty I had to find someone to take my money and give me change!! Now I had heard noise coming from somewhere inside the barn or at least I thought I had, but I couldn't see anyone or find anyone. All the while I am carrying this pumpkin that by now is feeling heavy~I decide to set it down in the farm stand find someone somehow and get one the road home. I am determine to march back to the house and walk farther into the house and really yell hello one more time when I hear a noise that sounds like a door closing in the barn. I hurry to the barn and yell "Hello!" and there's this old man~not the most friendly looking old man~standing in the opening. I tell him that I would like to buy a pumpkin~now remember I have already found the pumpkin I want, the pumpkin I have carried around for about 5 minutes already. He looks at me and points to a door in the barn that goes down to the basement and says go throught that door down stairs and pick out a pumpkin. Now I know what your thinking~she already picked a pumpkin out why would she go down stairs in the barn???!!! I have to admit this is the craziest part of my story~I went down those stairs never said a word about the pumpkin I had already picked out not a word! And this is what was running through my head~Oh my god I am going to go downstair and he is going to lock me down there and I will never get out it's days before Halloween and this is like a scene out of a scary movie! If I had been watching myself on a tv I would have been yelling don't be stupid everyone knows if you go down stairs your dead~you'll never leave! Any my car with all my personal belongings will be taken and hidden and no one will know I was there! But by god I went down those stairs! And there were all kinds of pumpkins and a big open door~so I had my escape route if the grumpy old farmer decided he wanted to keep me!! haha! I found a great medium size pumpkin for Wyatt~even better than the one I had seen up stairs and I marched up and paid the old fella and brought the pumpkin home for Wyatt~So now Wyatt when you read this someday you will know the great measures your mother had to go through to get the best pumpkin for you to carve! The End!
With our family spread out across this Great United States I wanted to find a way of sharing with everyone whats going on within our daily lives. With Wyatt growing up and changing from a little kid to a preteen it is so important for those far away to see and hear about all the changes he is going through. Enjoy and know that we love all of you!

Wyatt the soccer star!
Ok I need to go back in time a week~It's Saturday October 18th~Stephen, Mom, Grampa Ron and I are sitting on the sidelines at Wyatt's soccer game~it's cold, but the sun at our backs feels great! The game is in full swing and our boys are playing the red team in one of the last games of the season~It was the first half of the game if my memory doesn't fail me, and our boys are playing top of their game. It happened so fast that I can't give you detailed moves leading up to MY SON's 1st GOAL!! It was awesome~we cheered, yelled and my son glowed with pride~and I cried!!
Now it's Saturday October 25th and it's the last game of the season~It's the 2nd half of the game we're tied 1 to 1 and it's starting to get very heated on the field~there's tripping and falling soccer players all over the field~our boys are playing great~making great passing plays~Wyatt gets the ball passed to him and he kicked it right in the goal! In fact he made 2 goals! Top scorer for the last game of the season! We are so proud of this kid~who had never played soccer aside from recess he made hugh steps of improvement and met almost every goal he made for himself for soccer!! Now it's on to Basketball season! Wyatt has turned into an Athlete and a very good one~
Wyatt and his friend and teammate Alistar~They had so much fun playing the last game!
Wyatt has joined photography club and when he came home from his first meeting this was one of the pictures I found on his camera! He is so damn skinny he fits inside a locker!
This one I also found~and I really think it's a great picture of Wyatt! My handsome son is growing up so fast and loving Middle School!

Wyatt's School Pictures

Wyatt brought home his school pictures today I think they came out so wonderful! It truly amazes me how much he has grown up! I'm so pleased with how his smile looks..I told him not to do a fake one..he doesn't fake smile well at all. Heck neither do I. School is going pretty well so far Wyatt has a B average right now and with continued hard work it will get even better.
Wyatts soccer game this past weekend was canceled so he has two games this week. He is still enjoying soccer they won the last game they played Wyatt had a cold so the coach didn't play him the whole game..he was having a hard time breathing. Grammie and Wyatts dad Matt came down to the game. Wyatt was thrilled to have them here to see him. It meant a lot to Wyatt that his dad finally came down to our house to see where he lives. It was a great visit.

Wyatts first soccer game
What a night I sat on the side lines hardly able to contain my excitement my son in a huddle with the rest of his teammates (the green team) getting the before game pep talk from the coach! The game begins and well if you know me I was cheering and hollaring! It was awesome beyond words I have never experienced this sort of high I felt on top of the world and my son was doing all the work! He played his heart out and it was the first organized sports game he'd ever played. The coach kept him in the game the whole time never changing him out like he did with most of the other kids. I am so proud and can't wait to his next game this Saturday. Grammie drove down from Fryeburg to see the game and she and Stephen and I had so much fun watching! I think we have a future soccer player on our hands and I am thrilled! Wyatts already thinking high school! This is a confidence booster for him and an incentive to keep his school grades up! Way to go Wyatt!! I love you and am so proud of you!

Just Mom and Me
I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with my mom and it was relaxing! Mom put me to bed on Friday night at 6:30..I was so tired and it was a great 12 hour sleep! We went shopping on Saturday and I watched her make 4 apple pies! My mom is the next Paula Dean she is a wiz in the kitchen. It is truely amazing that I am her daughter and I don't bake! (at least not like my mom!) I love going to mom's for the weekend I eat well and it's just a place where I can kick back and feel sort of like a kid again. My mom is fun to hang out with we laugh and have our "girl talks" talking with mom is comforting to me. I know I can talk to her about anything and she will give me her most honest opinion. It's so cool to be friends with my mom and I am so glad to have her in my life! Thanks Mom for always looking out for me and having my best interests at heart. I know there isn't anything that you wouldn't do for me and I know how much you love my son. Wyatt is the luckiest kid in the world to have you and Grampa. And I am as well.
Time to get all geared up for another work week! Gosh why can't I just once win the Powerball! I only need to win it once! Mom don't forget to check your tickets we got on Saturday...and make sure to call me ASAP if you win so I can turn in my notice at work!! Wouldn't that just be the bomb!! Love you MOM! Thanks for everything and your apple pies rock! If anyone doesn't know Mom is in the picture with me.

The brave one
He did it he wore the jacket today! And over all it went well and he was proud of himself. I was proud of him as well..Wyatt isn't one of those kids that truly cares what others think. He may follow the crowd when it suits him, but he does have his own drummer that he follows on occasion. I know it's not easy to be a kid trying to find that place where you fit in. I know Wyatt is on the right path..though rocky at times to finding his place.

Wyatts new coat
Ok I know what you must be thinking...the jacket is to big making Wyatt look like he is dressing up for Halloween! This jacket means so much to Wyatt he just had to have it no matter that they didn't have it in his size. It is the same jacket worn by his favorite band "My Chemical Romance" in one of the video's they did. He is a big fan and knows all their music. They are a little on the Gothic side, but honestly their music is pretty good. Wyatt was so excited the day he got it wearing it as one might wear a crown, now here's the problem..he is afraid to wear it to school. He is worried the kids will make fun of him even though he states he doesn't care what they think. I have no idea whether the kids would poke fun at him or not, but I am not going to push him to wear it until he is comfortable. He puts it on every morning, but takes it off before he leaves. I told him to give it a few weeks into the school year then he will be adjusted to the new school and the kids and he will know when it's ok.
Wyatt has been riding his bike's all weekend..he loves to ride and jump. Stephen and Wyatt decided to build a bike ramp and he has been having fun taking jumps. He popped the back tire of his Tony Hawk bike so we had to fix that then the center shock blew on the other bike, but boy can this boy jump!

Wyatt the preteen heads off to Middle School
Wyatt's first day of 4th grade on the left and 5th on the right..Yes folks my son is becoming a man..a little man..but still a man! I saw him off on the school bus and he was a bit apprehensive when he saw how full the bus was with other middle school age children and HIGH SCHOOLERS! He actually sat with a high school boy.
Now here's a funny story...Wyatt told us that when the bus pulled up to the high school the kids starting filing off the bus well Wyatt who hadn't been paying close attention to his location followed suit and exited the bus with them...my baby went to high school..briefly..he said he looked around and was like where am I? the bus driver thankfully saw him and motioned for him to get back on the bus..how Wyatt laughed at himself...I can only imagine how silly he must have felt getting back on that bus...at least he kept a sense of humor about the whole situation!..He is definitely my son! Is that pulling an Alice or what!
Today was his second day of school and he missed the bus to come home..but he got on the bus this morning with no problems..and he did it all by himself! Way to go Wyatt! School is going to be tough this year, but he is ready and has signed up to play his first school sport...Soccer! So this weekend we will be out buying shin guards and mouth guards and cleats..we'll keep you all posted on how that goes!

Missing My Little Man
Wyatt has been away over a week now and I miss him to pieces! He spent a week at his dads which was a first! He says that he had a good time and I don't doubt it he went to the skate park and hung out with his pal Cassie. And of course we can't forget the video games. I am glad that his dad took the time with him, Wyatt is growing up fast and he doesn't get to have his dad around.
This week he is spending time with Grammie and Grampa Light. He has been going to work with Grammie and hanging out with his buddy Hunter. (he has friends every where!) They go to the park and skate board and then on occasion go up to the assisted living center where Aunt Tillie is living to visit. I think it is very special that my son at 10 years old is mature enough to visit with an elderly person. I always loved being around my great grandparents.
Wyatt has so much fun with Grammie and Grampa he loves them so much. Tonight he was snuggling in Grampa's chair with him I told Mom they would need a bigger chair as Wyatt gets bigger. And there was lots of giggling over the phone from Wyatt(he loves to laugh). I am so lucky to have such loving and supportive parents that love my son so much. I know that there isn't anything they wouldn't do for Wyatt and thats so important.
I am yawning tonight like crazy..could be I am not getting enough sleep (going to bed at 10:45pm). Thank god for the weekends and my Fridays off!! Seven more work days left till our Weeks VACATION!!

A beautiful gift
Several years ago a gift was given to me! It was not a gift of material value and actually there is no price value you could give to this gift..it truely is priceless! This gift has seen me through sadness, happiness, tears and hours of endless laughter. This gift has guided me on the best paths and been at my side during many journeys. The greatest thing about this gift is that it is not a thing you can posses it doesn't belong to me it chose me and stays with me because this gift loves me as much as I love it. This gift is my best friend, "sister at heart", my voice of reason, my April!
I need to go back in time for a moment...April had been in my life for many years..we had worked together at the Shoe Shop and she lived in the same apartment building as my Grammie Eastman. I had talked to her off and on for years. Then one day on a beautiful summer afternoon when I had stopped in to visit my gram April was on the porch and she asked me if I had found a job yet. I was between jobs doing anything to earn some cash and she knew this. She told me about a position opening up where she worked and that I should go immediately fill out an application because the job hadn't even been advertised. I did just as she instructed and the rest is history. We have been best friends since. April knows how much she means to me and I know how much I mean to her. There will never be another April in my life..she is my one of a kind. I miss her and think of her on a daily basis..you see I had to leave her (she isn't so far away, but far enough that I don't see her everyday) and that was hard. April has since found a wonderful man to spend her life with and in two years when her "not so little girl" graduates she will be moving even farther away. But it is ok because distance won't change how we feel. Every day I celebrate our friendship, I thank God for her, I worry about her, I wish the greatest joy and happiness for her, I love her!
April thank you for everything you have done for me, you are my kindred spirit, my Taurus! Love ya Girl!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend with Norris sorry that I didn't get up to visit. Hugs and kisses to you and Norris and Danielle!!

Time flys
Hello I know it's been a few weeks since my last blog! Wyatt has taken an interest in the computer again and has been using it a lot so I have had to share. His "girlfriend" told him about this sight to play games on and he is hooked. He will be using computers so much in his future that I am glad he has an interest even if it is to play games right now. I had to take today off from work with Wyatt due to a rash on his body (even on his face and top of his head). We thought it was an allergic reaction to something he ate or was exposed to, but nope he has a viral infection which there is no quick cure! He isn't contagious to adults, but other kids can get it from him. I gave him something to help with the itch he hasn't complained to much about it..he is playing it tough. He thanked me for taking him to the doctors and for staying home with him GOD I love this kid!! How many hugs can you give your child in one day...what ever the amount it's honestly never enough!!
This month has been a very busy month for me..working 10 hour days has been great, I am tired but happy to have Fridays off. Wyatt likes it as well. Stephen has been so good taking over the dinner preparations and some of my afternoon chores.
Matilda the puppy has become Matilda the wild puppy and she is so big almost double the size she was when we brought her home. She and Lady Bird are buddies and hang out together all the time. Birdie lays in front of Tillies kennel at night and if Tillie whines Birdie will whine to help her wake us..it seems like Birdie is alerting us to Tillies needs. To cute!
A year ago this month a very good friend of mine lost her brother-in-law in a motorcycle accident. It was a terrible day for her and as her friend I felt her lose even though I had never had the pleasure of meeting Joe. I along with 2 other close friends attended the funeral to show our support for JoAnn and I have to tell you it was a beautiful tribute to an incredible man. A man that left a wife (who is an strong woman) and two adorable children and a family that loved him so very much. I have been so honored to have met this family and spent time with all of them if I didn't have such a wonderful family of my own I would want to be adopted by this family. I know that my friend JoAnn is hurting right now and I have no power to help other than to show my support she knows how much she means to me and how much I care. My wish for today is that true justice will come to this family and the man who killed him (the accident wasn't Joe's fault) will suffer and the "Elf landscaping company"(the people that driver of the truck that killed Joe works for) will suffer as well!! Judgment day will come for all of them and they will have to answer to a higher power than any of us can imagine!
Make sure to tell those special people in your life that you love them, hug your children and grandchildren! For tomorrow may never come and who wants to live with regret. So to all those people in my life and you all know who you are..I love you even if I don't say it often enough and you are a part of what makes me whole!

Happy 4th of July
Happy Independence Day everyone! And Happy Birthday JoAnn!! Today is a day when most gather and fire up the grill hoping all day that the rain will hold out so the fireworks aren't cancelled. I on the other hand will be spending my 4th alone! Wyatt is with Grammie and Grampa Light today and going to his dads this afternoon for the weekend. He is excited about going to the skate park again this weekend. He and Grammie came down yesterday and picked up bikes. Stephen is working today and I will be going grocery shopping and making my weekly stop at Walmart. We will have our BBQ this evening and maybe a nice bonfire (i might even pick up some Sam Adams Light for us to celebrate with).
They are trying something new for the summer at work..4 day work weeks. So starting Monday I will be working 10 hours with the payoff being Fridays off. I like the idea of having 3 day weekends for the summer and it will give me an extra day a week with Wyatt. I find myself longing to be with Wyatt more as he grows older knowing that one day my time with him will be shared with so many more people. You take for granted when they a little that they will always be around. We spend the first few years chasing them around keeping them safe and out of everything. Now that he is 10 being around mom isn't the cool thing so I am willing to steal even the short moments savoring them. One day he will understand why I might hug him a little tighter and a whole lot longer, why I say "I love you" a couple extra times at bedtime, or why I stare at him trying to burn into my memory every little feature on his face.(he will understand the day his first child is born)
I hope everyone has a great day! Enjoy the long weekend and always be safe!

It's been a while since I last wrote, and so much has happened. Mom's been out visiting with Andy and Snow and Garith who calls her Mimi. I think that is so sweet! Wyatt calls her grammie and most likely always will. Wyatt has gone to the neighbors for the night to sleep out in the camper with Aaron. I wonder how cold it will get out there he says that there's plenty of blankets and he took his sleeping bag. Grampa Ron bought him a new bike it's the Tony Hawk bike and he loves it! He says riding his other one that 2 days ago worked fine just doesn't feel right anymore. How many bikes does one kid need? Ha ha!
Stephens brothers and their wives were over for a cook out this past Saturday and we had a great time. Wyatt was having so much fun showing them how he rides his 4 wheeler. Sunday Wyatt asked if he could ride his wheeler and after a few jumps his battery came off and Stephen and Wyatt worked on it all morning till a thunder storm rolled in. We thought that would be the perfect time to go grocery shopping little did we know what the rest of the day would hold for us! We loaded the groceries into the car right in the middle of one hell of a thunder and lightning storm. Then while cleaning the ice out of the freezer on our frig a freon line was hit and now I have a bigger better frig! That is all behind us now! Matilda is now twice the size that she was when we brought her home. On the 4th of July she will be 3 months old. She and Birdie are great together they play and wrestle constantly.
Wyatt will be heading north for the weekend with Grammie and Grampa and then to his dads. He has missed them all very much.

Working for the weekend!
It's only Tuesday! Ughhhh! We took Wyatt to the skate park tonight, but it started to thunder and then it rained. Told him we'd try again on Thursday since tomorrow night is his graduation ceremony moving up from the elementary to middle school. There is an ice cream social after. Wyatt is all excited because tomorrow is field day at school and he wants to do the tug of war.
Today was mom's last day of school she is flying out to Andy and Snow's home in Ohio on Thursday. I am very jealous she is going to have a great time. Andrew graduates from Paramedic school Saturday. I am so proud of you Andrew!! Mom is going to visit with them for a week in their new home and get some special time with Garith.

Chores are done
The weather was great today and perfect for getting all our outside chores done. Wyatt and I went to Walmart and Market Basket getting all our groceries and other needed things. When we got home we took Stephen out to a nice lunch at the Red Apple. Tomorrow is the start to Laconia Bike Week and there were loads of motorcycles out.
I finally weeded my garden it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it might be. I have radishes growing and carrots. My green beans are going to come in well. I have a feeling my tomato's are a bust, but that's ok I am learning. While I was busy in the garden the guys were busy in the yard weed wacking and mowing. It is all done and it looks wonderful.
Wyatt finally took me for a ride on the 4 wheeler down and up the driveway. It was fun and he was in his glory giving his mom a ride. He worked very hard today helping us with chores. If it doesn't rain all day tomorrow I am going to take him to the skate park for an hour or so. He is also going to the range with Stephen to do some shooting. He loves the idea of that.
Tomorrow is also Fathers day! Again Happy Fathers Day to all the important men out there!
I finally weeded my garden it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it might be. I have radishes growing and carrots. My green beans are going to come in well. TGIF
Need I say more??? Tomorrow is Friday and this has been one long week. It started out so hot and now it's wonderfully cool and I love it! We have been sitting outside with the dogs in the evening enjoying the solar lights. Our neighbors have gone camping for Fathers Day weekend with the pop-up camper they bought from us. We are taking care of their animals for the weekend. A rooster named Elvis and two hens, and little bunny rabbit and watering their garden. Wyatt is happy to help with the feeding since he helps do it during the week for Becky. I am going to help with the cleaning of the pool filter and if it warms up this weekend I just might take a dip.
I would like to say Happy Fathers Day to all the important men in my life.
*Dad for always being the best dad, I am such a lucky person to have a dad who loves me unconditionally. I love you Dad!
*Andrew for growing up to become the best dad to my beautiful nephew. Garith is one lucky little boy to have such an incredible father. I love you Andrew!
*Stephen for being a dad to Wyatt. For always being there to take him to the dentist or the doctors, for bandaging up a scraped knee or just giving him a hug when he needs one. I love you Stephen!
*Grampa Ron for being a wonderful Grandfather and step dad! For watching out for Wyatt and I when we needed it the most. There will never be enough ways to say thank you for everything you have done for us! The only way to describe Ronnie is "One in a million!" I love you Ronnie/Grampa!!
*Matt for being Wyatts dad! We have a son who is growing up fast into a young man. I am so proud of Wyatt and I know Matt is too! Thank you for being Wyatts father and the other reason Wyatt is here on earth.
Have a great weekend everyone in case I don't have time to post a blog. I will be back on Monday!

Cooler days are upon us
It was still very warm when we went to bed and the wonderful thunder and lightening storm in the middle of the night cool every thing down! I woke and almost felt a little chilly when I stepped outside..Yay! Wyatt dressed for hot weather and said he was a little cold this morning, I told him to suck it up because it would warm up through out the day and it did. Wyatt has only 6 1/2 more days of school left now. He and I have decided to go miniture golfing in the afternoon on the last day of school. It should be fun and Wyatt is excited about it.
Tonight Wyatt and I were sitting out in the backyard with Lady Bird and I was trying to teach him to whistle with a blade of grass pinched between his thumbs. He was able to do it a couple of times, but he gets frustrated to easy and gave up fast. I on the other hand have years of practice and was making loud whistles getting the birds in the neighborhood chirping! Wyatt has headed down to the neighbors to hop in the pool for an evening dip. I don't think its hot enough to do that, but kids can't resist a pool. He has been out riding his bike so he has worked up a sweat.
Looking forward to this weekend the temps sound delightful. I need to weed my garden the grass is taking over. Almost ready to pick my radishes!

Hot spring days!
Ok I know I have missed some days, but the weather has so hot that doing anything that requires you to move is almost impossible! We survived the 90 degree heat over the weekend barely. We built new steps out to our backyard and added some solar lights out there as well. We did an interior floor repair as well. Home Depot is the place to be on the weekends. Wyatt spent the weekend at his Dads and had a great time. He got to spend a little time with his grammie Donna on the car rides to and from Moultonboro. He is so glad school is almost over for the summer. Today they got to have popcicles at school today and he came home and announced that he has no homework and there won't be anymore homework for the rest of the school year. For Wyatt thats a dream come true.
Last evening Wyatt and I attended the student/parent orientation at the Middle school he will be attending in the Fall. He wasn't to interested in listening to the teachers talk, but loved the tour we went on of the school after. It was hot in there I couldn't wait to get out. Should be interesting to see how Wyatt likes the school come the start 5th grade.
Wyatt has been coming right home from school and jumping in the neighbors pool thankfully they have one. It cools the kids off and keeps them busy on these hot afternoons when riding bikes is not a good idea. He plays hard, but falls asleep fast at night!
Matilda is growing bigger every day and really giving Birdie a run for her money. We have established a great routine with her and everyone is sleeping better. She is having less and less accidents in her kennel and in the house and loves to dig holes in the backyard. The balance in the house is coming back to normal.
Work is going well changes are getting easier to deal with. Hope I feel this optimistic come July when the Fall product starts to arrive by the truck loads. Well I will try to keep blogging daily I can't promise I won't miss any days but will do my best!

my evening with the kids
Ok I missed 2 days, but tomorrow is Friday the weekend is upon us and I can't be happier! Wyatt has been playing hard after school every day riding bikes and hanging out with Aaron. He helps with Matilda "Tillie" (yes the puppy has a nickname..we all new it was bound to happen!!) as much as he can. Playing keeps him pretty busy. Matilda is biting and chewing on everything. She has toys scattered every where through out the house but she'd rather chew on the pillow on the couch or the throw rug in the living room. It really is like having a toddler who has just learned to walk running around to bad she doesn't wear a diaper. Wyatt will be heading up north tomorrow to spend the weekend with his dad and he is really looking forward to that. He packed for the weekend and was sure to remember his skateboard. Wish our driveway was paved so he could skate in our yard it's hard to get him to the skate park here often. Wyatt is a very good skate boarder and he tried his skill out on the snowboard this winter and did fantastic! He doesn't play organized sports so he makes up for that with the things he can take from here to his dads and to Grammie and Grampa's house as well. He gets better every time he practices.
The kids are down for the night so I am going to check my email and enjoy the quiet.

Busy Tuesday
Sitting here relaxing on the couch with Lady Bird. Matilda was biting Stephen so she is being punished in her kennel. Wyatt just went to bed he was out riding his bike all afternoon. His interest in the puppy has faded a little he is a kid and would rather being playing with his buddy Aaron than with a puppy. Time to go and get "Tillie" out of her kennel I think she might have learned her lesson-Not! Besides I am missing her I think she is fast becoming my spoiled little pup! Now I have two girls!!

Manic Mondays
5am and I was up and out in the back yard with Matilda and Birdie. By the time I got to work I had a headache and was ready for a nap! Did I get one, well we all know the answer to that..NO! So I took a couple of advil and got through the day. I was so anxious all day to get home and get Matilda out of the kennel. I figured I would have a lot of work cleaning the kennel, but Matilda got through her first day in the kennel with no accidents! She is fitting in so well and besides the getting up early with her she is doing great. She is still chewing anything she can get in her mouth, but we are watching her so closely we'll break her of that eventually. Wyatt has only 14 1/2 days of school left. I have taken half a day for the last day of school so I can be home when he gets home. And I am officially taking a weeks paid vacation this year the 2nd to last week of August to spend sometime with Wyatt who will start school the following week. Amazing how short the school vacations are now. The mosquitoes are terrible now when the sun goes down. So we make our trips with the dogs out back quick at night.
My garden is really starting to grow. The radishes will be ready with in the next couple of weeks. It's my first garden and though I haven't tended to it much yet it's doing great. It will be nice to save on vegies and what vegies are at the grocery store look pretty small and not worth the cost. I just might have a green thumb yet!

Sunday with the family
Well we have gotten through day 3 with Matilda! Let's hope night number 3 goes as well. Wyatt and Stephen did a lot of 4 wheeling today and I hung out with the girls (Birdie and Matilda). Trying to keep her awake and not napping was a challenge. Wyatt would lay in the grass with her and she would jump all over him attacking him! It was a great day over all. Wyatt is in bed for the night and now it's time to get things ready for another work week..yuck!

Welcome Matilda
We are in love! Matilda is adorable and Birdie is showing Matilda where the boundaries are. Wyatt is learning fast that a puppy is a lot of work. Keeping her out of things and not allowing her to chew on things she shouldn't (she is definately a chewer) We are going to take turns letting her out in the middle of the night.
The big Surprise
Today is another big surprise day for Wyatt! Stephen is bringing home the newest addition to our family an adorable chocolate lab/boxer mix puppy. She (yes we know the sex) doesn't have a name yet...we have a few written down, but want Wyatt's in put on the final decision. We are hoping that the puppy will be a good companion for Lady Bird who spends most of her days alone! Last night we asked Wyatt how he would feel if we decided to have a new baby (we were thinking dog, Wyatt was thinking baby baby!) he said flat out no way and got very upset almost in tears. He finally said he doesn't want to share us and he doesn't want us to have more kids. Good to know he feels this way, but we finally reassured him that we weren't having a baby! Too funny!! I will post some pictures of Wyatt with the puppy and the puppy's name later tonight if time allows.
Tomorrow we have Grammie Eastman's Burial. I know she has been gone since December of last year, but it still is hard to deal with. I will speak at the service and pay my respects for a woman who I loved dearly and spent a lot of time with growing up. I promise that Grammie won't be forgot and I am happy knowing she is with Grampa and Cousin Maryann now.
Things at work are changing fast and are a little overwhelming so I am glad it's Friday! TGIF!!!

Happy Birthday Andrew
Today is a special day it's my little brothers birthday! Happy Birthday Andy! It always amazes me when I think of Andy getting older and how much fun birthdays were when we were kids. Usually there were extra kids at the house even if it was a school night and mom made a cake. Pizza I think was the dinner of chose and it was just a great time. I hope that you have a wonderful day Andrew and that you got lots of Birthday love from your special wife Snow and your adorable son Garith. We miss you all and wish we were with you to help you celebrate! All our love!

Getting started
Wyatt has a new passion 4 wheeling! He is learning that helping out around the house earns him gas for the wheeler. I wish you could have seen his face when we brought it home for him. We love surprising Wyatt! He turned 10 in February and he has changed so much in these last few months. He will always be my little man, I just can't say that in front of other kids now. He told me that calling him a preteen sounds better. He is all boy! And yes he is a spoiled boy! Right Grammie and Grampa Light??!!
